Fish Dolls

Hello dear friends. I visited the Morondava prison yesterday with pastor Bertrand and it was a powerful experience. I’ll write about it later. Today a very sweet story.

As Bruce and I were strolling the beach, we happened upon a mother with two kids. The little girl was adorable as all three year olds are, She tightly held two fish.

I asked her if she was going to cook them.

Her mother answered,

“These are her toys. She plays with them.”

Dead fish dolls.

Kids will always find a way to immerse themselves into a world of make believe -  be it in a prison, on the destitute streets of Tana where homelessness prevails,  or along the shores of Morondava.
